What makes a good recording?
Why is recording my biggest passion? It’s a close connection to the client.
Starting with their idea, it is my challenge to translate those ideas into actual music. By making the right choices in, for example the set-up and equipment used in recording, their ideas come to life. Each session requires a different feel, a different sound, so each one is a new challenge.
In my experience; the way instruments are recorded have a bigger impact on the final result than mixing can fix. That’s why I love setting you up to a good start!
Some bands prefer to record together, all at the same time. While other projects require a more precise approach, layering the instruments as we go.
Of course, I can advise you in this.
How I work:
As you now understand, my workflow is different each time and perfectly tailored to your project. I take care to get as close as possible to your desired outcome.
I select the right Microphone, Pre-amp, EQ and/or Compressor, before we hit record and from there on it’s your time to shine.
Where I Work:
I have a small production studio in Limmen (NL) where I can host up to 4 people. This space is mainly for mixing/production work, but is also very suitable for small recordings, overdubs and voice over.
Depending on what type of room/acoustics we need for your recording, we might go to one of the many other locations around the country that might be better suited for your needs.
